Care

How do I wash my custom clothes?

When you have put all this design work into your outfit, of course you want to maintain it well. Before wearing it you should wash it once by itself. Generally speaking you should wash your garment as gently as possible. We recommend using cold water (30°) and putting it in the washing machine by itself, possibly even in a net to protect the beautiful surface textures of the fabrics. Depending on the fabric it is absolutely fine to wash it together with same coloured clothing.

How can I dry my outfit? Can I use an iron?

Some fabrics are delicate and others are durable. Depending on the nature of the fabric texture and design you can use an iron or drying machine. However, we would recommend to refrain from using a tumble dryer or iron. Some of the silky fabrics might loose a bit of their gloss when tossed around in the machine or when a hot iron is used. Ideally you air dry the outfits on a clothing line.

Tip: If you have time at hand, the wetter you hang up the clothing, the fewer wrinkles will stay in the fabric and ironing becomes unnecessary.

Can I use any kind of detergent to wash my garments?

We recommend a light, biodegradable and gentle detergent to be soft to the fabric, maintain the colour and wash environmentally friendly.

How durable is the fabric that my outfit is made of?

Each fabric is different. Generally speaking the silky fabrics with patterns are the most delicate. The natural ones, like linen and cotton, have a more durable texture and are therefore easier to maintain. The sturdy fabrics are durable but sometimes have delicate patterns and textures. It is up to you to decide how much effort you want to put into maintaining your custom outfit. Feel free to contact us if you want fabric specific information.
